Spicy Olive & Jamón Bocadillo


2 cups green olives, pitted

1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil

1 tbsp lemon juice

1/2 tsp black pepper

Pinch chili flakes

4 long crusty buns, sliced lengthwise

2 pkg (3 oz each) Campofrio Jamón Serrano

1/4 cup pickled hot pepper rings


Bocadillos, a popular type of crusty sandwich filled with cured meats, are found in cafes and tapas bars all over Spain.

Total Time: 20 minutes
Serves: 4

Blend olives, olive oil, lemon juice, pepper and chili flakes in food processor until paste forms, scraping down sides if necessary.


Spread olive paste onto cut sides of buns. Sandwich with Jamón and pickled pepper rings.



Tip: Add sliced Manchego cheese to this sandwich, if desired.
